Composite Wall Systems
CSSI delivers composite wall systems as permanent structures or deployable walls for temporary use, giving you flexible protection wherever you need it. Our firewalls and ballistic walls help prevent the spread of fire and stop projectiles before they reach critical areas—so you can strengthen your facility’s defenses and protect what matters most. Intelli-Firewall is certified to ASTM E119 standards for a 4-hour fire-resistance rating; Ballistic Wall systems are rated to UL 752 Level 8, with options up to Level 10 for 50-caliber protection.

Can CSSI solutions be used for both indoor and outdoor assets?
Yes. CSSI wall systems can be designed for exterior installations around substations, refineries, and outdoor equipment, as well as interior applications such as firewalls around transformers located inside buildings or data centers.
Is CSSI's composite wall system suitable for utility substations?
Yes — substations are one of our most common applications. CSSI has designed, manufactured, and installed firewall systems at utility substations across the country, including installations between multiple transformers, in tight spaces, and in extreme weather environments. Our walls can be angled, cantilevered, and engineered to meet substation-specific structural and clearance requirements.
Are CSSI walls suitable for BESS applications?
Yes. As battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy infrastructure grow, so does the need for fire and ballistic protection at those sites. CSSI composite walls can be configured to protect batteries that store energy from the grid, solar and wind for later use.
